Bang & Olufsen has teamed up with the British experimental clothing brand Vollebak to create the extraordinary Beosound 2 Vollebak Edition—a nod to space exploration with a bold aesthetic and unmatched sound engineering.
This limited-edition speaker features a unique “burnout effect” finish on its aluminum body, inspired by the burn marks left on spacecraft during atmospheric re-entry. No two speakers share the same pattern, making every piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. The anodized aluminum shell was born from an accidental anodizing technique breakthrough, perfected through months of research.
The Beosound 2 Vollebak Edition delivers powerful 360-degree sound with Bang & Olufsen’s Acoustic Lens Technology. Built-in proximity sensors and room calibration optimize sound for any placement—whether on a table, floor, or in a corner—ensuring pristine audio clarity and immersive experience.
This collaboration transcends sound design; Vollebak also introduced the Anodized Jacket, a futuristic garment crafted using aerospace-grade galvanic treatment that reflects 97% of body heat and aids stealth, bridging fashion and technology.
The collection was launched from the Spaceshop, a 1,000-kg mobile installation blending art and retail, designed by Danish Space Architects SAGA—with Bang & Olufsen’s Beolab 5 towers and Beosound 2 speakers transforming the environment into a multi-sensory experience.
